Well we made it...to Sanibel Island. It was a long day, but everyone is in bed at last :-) Oliver came down with croup the day before we had to fly, but luckily, he's on an antibiotic and improving. The other fun event was when Charlie ate a bite of Jeremy's sandwich (30 minutes before we boarded our plane) and then realized there were sesame seeds on it...which he's allergic to. Fun times. He threw up, we gave him some benadryl, and he passed out on the plane. As we drove over the bridge to Sanibel Island as the sun went down, I thought, yup, it's all worth it. Charlie exclaimed, "High 5 for the sun!" Darn tootin' little man.

Charlie's counting down the days until we head to the beach. He's also trying on some of his beach gear... and mine :-)

Be my Valentine
I'm lucky enough to have 3 Valentines. We had a very laid back weekend and got to enjoy a lot of family time. Charlie had a party at school on the Friday before Valentine's Day. You can tell from the picture how excited he is about it :-) he wanted to be sure that he looked like a rockstar.

Grandma and Noni and Grampy, oh my!
We were lucky enough to get to spend the weekend with Grandma Laird and also get a Sunday afternoon visit with Noni and Grampy! The kids were so excited to have all that attention! We took Grandma to Clemyjontri playground, ate whoopie pies with Noni, and played in the background all Sunday afternoon (it was 60°!).

Visit from Aunt Lynn
It was so nice to have Aunt Lynn stop by on her way to Florida. We had a lot of laughs and the kids had a great time. We shared smoothies, pastries and reading glasses :-)

Blow torch surprise
Jeremy and I went out to dinner last night and had a great time. We got to the restaurant a little early so we stopped at a place nearby to have a drink before dinner. I really wish I could have taken a video or a picture of the pyrotechnics that were involved in the drink that Jeremy ordered. A sprig of rosemary was in his drink and the waitress used a blowtorch to set it aflame. It was hilarious! We had dinner at Barcelona, a Spanish tapas restaurant. The food was great and the company was even better.
